Scottish Airlines Limited was formed in 1946 as a subsidiary of Scottish Aviation Limited. The airline commenced worldwide passenger and cargo charter flights from bases at Prestwick and Stansted. Scottish Airlines ceased operations in 1960. Its aircraft and routes were taken over by Dan-Air in 1961.
