This phone case features a vintage bag sticker from the 1930's promoting the DC-2's and DC-3's using the Wright Cyclone Engine. Wright Cyclone was the name given to a family of air-cooled radial piston engines designed by the Wright Aeronautical Corporation and used in numerous American aircraft in the 1930s and 1940s.
It was a DC-3 with Wright Cyclone engines, flight 3, which crashed just after take off from Las Vegas on Jan. 16, 1942 killing all on-board including the legendary actress Carole Lombard, the wife of Clark Gable.
