Over the Top, this TWA sticker proclaims, with a long-range triple-tailed airliner flying past a polar map and a red Polar Route banner above the TWA Jetstream name. Jetstream was TWA's name for the Lockheed L-1649A Starliner, which entered TWA service on 1 June 1957. The airline flew the type on polar routes between Europe and California, and in September 1957 a TWA Starliner flew the first nonstop from Los Angeles to London, captained by chief pilot Bob Buck. Stickers like this went onto many passengers' bags.
