A big three-leafed shamrock fills this round label, with AER LINGUS lettered boldly across it and a small winged emblem marked "Irish Air Lines" below, all on a soft blue sky. The shamrock has long been the airline's best-known symbol. Aer Lingus was founded in April 1936, and its first service that May flew from Baldonnel to Bristol in a six-seat de Havilland Dragon named Iolar. A classic piece of airline graphics from Ireland's national carrier.
