A cream roundel with the Lufthansa crane and bold pink-red lettering says simply "Leave it to The Baron." It belongs to the Red Baron campaign that Lufthansa ran in the United States from 1971, created by McCann Erickson to stress the airline's reliability and punctuality with a light, humorous touch. Lufthansa's 1976 staff magazine credited the Baron with winning the airline more recognition and popularity in America. Stickers like this went home on travellers' luggage as part of the campaign.
