This square sticker carries the airline's best-known mark: a blue globe crossed by white lines of latitude and longitude, with PAN AM lettered across the middle. Pan American's trademark history dates the light-blue globe and its modern block lettering to 1958, a redesign credited to Edward L. Barnes Associates as the airline entered the jet age. Pan Am had begun in 1927 with an airmail flight from Key West to Havana, and it kept flying until December 4, 1991.
