This mousepad features a Boston-Maine Airways and Central Vermont Airways image from their timetable from 1935.
The airline began as Boston-Maine Airways, founded as a Pan Am contract carrier on July 20, 1931, by the Boston and Maine Railroad and Maine Central Railroad, flying from Boston to Bangor via Portland. Central Vermont Railroad had also floated its own airline, named, not implausibly, Central Vermont Airways. These two lines combined in 1934 to form Boston-Maine/Central Vermont Airways with a through route from Boston to Montreal, via Bangor and Burlington. The name Northeast Airlines was adopted on November 19, 1940. On August 1, 1972 Northeast merged with Delta Air Lines.
