Snow-capped Andes peaks rise above a still mountain lake in this "Beautiful Argentina" poster from the mid-1950s, with an airliner gliding across the scene to promise that the country's wild south was now within easy reach. Aerolineas Argentinas was still young at the time: the national flag carrier was formed in 1949 from the merger of four earlier companies and began flying under its own name in December 1950. Posters like this one helped introduce the new airline and its country to travelers abroad. The artist is not recorded.
