This Air France poster for the French Riviera, dated around 1950, fills the sheet with bright Mediterranean color: a harbor, palm trees and hillside villas above the sea. Its artist is not recorded. In the early 1950s Air France promoted the Côte d'Azur more than once; Jacques Auriac's 1952 design for the same destination also shows a palm-lined shore, a harbor full of sailboats and a propeller plane in a blue sky.
