A bull moose stands out against a deep field of blue in this graphic poster for Alaska Airlines, signed off with the gold Golden Nugget emblem the carrier used in the 1960s. The Golden Nugget era, launched in the early 1960s, paid tribute to the Klondike gold rush with Gay Nineties styling: plush red-and-gold seats and tasseled wallpaper aboard the Boeing 727s, flight attendants in long velvet skirts and wide-brimmed hats, and a "Golden Nugget Jets" livery across the fleet. The airline itself traces its roots to McGee Airways, founded in 1932. The artist is not recorded.
