Instead of showing the whole airplane, this 1959 poster zooms in on an abstract close-up of a Boeing 707 engine pod and wing, letting the sleek new hardware speak for the jet age. American Airlines put the 707 into service on January 25, 1959, flying from Los Angeles to New York, the first jets the airline operated on domestic routes. The new aircraft carried American's long-standing "Flagship" name, so they were sold as Jet Flagships until 1961, when the airline's advertising agency introduced the Astrojet name for its turbofan-powered jets. The artist is not recorded.

The Gildan 2000, made with 100% U.S. cotton and the latest breakthrough in soft cotton technology, the Gildan Ultra Cotton family has been remastered for improved printability, quality, and comfort you can see and feel.
