Fred Ludekens (1900–1982) painted Los Angeles after dark for American Airlines in the 1950s: the city lights spread across the basin, dark hills and palm silhouettes frame the foreground, and Hollywood searchlights sweep up into a deep blue, star-filled sky as an American airliner passes overhead. Ludekens was a California-born illustrator known for magazine and advertising work. The searchlights capture the movie-premiere glamour that made Los Angeles one of the airline's most heavily promoted destinations in the postwar years.
The Gildan 2000, made with 100% U.S. cotton and the latest breakthrough in soft cotton technology, the Gildan Ultra Cotton family has been remastered for improved printability, quality, and comfort you can see and feel.
