Unimark International, the influential design firm active from 1964 to 1977, created this American Airlines ski poster around 1971. A stylized skier in bold pinks, blues and yellows crouches low into a descent, poles trailing behind, above the names of the Utah resorts the flights served: Alta, Park City and Sundance, all reached through Salt Lake City. Unimark's Massimo Vignelli had designed American's famous double-A logo in 1967. A copy of this poster is held in the "Fly Now" collection of the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.
