This metallic gold seal celebrates Avianca's sixtieth anniversary, its embossed condor spreading its wings above "1919 1979" and "Avianca 60 years." The dates trace back to SCADTA, founded in Barranquilla, Colombia, on 5 December 1919, which merged with SACO in 1940 to form Avianca. Through SCADTA, Avianca is one of the oldest airlines still flying today. The seal was struck for the 1979 anniversary, and labels like it were given to passengers to mark the occasion.
