An airliner sweeps over a map of northern Europe in this blue vintage-style poster art for British Continental Airways, headed "Your way to the Continent." The name fits the airline's brief: formed at Croydon on 15 April 1935, it flew to Brussels, Ostend, Antwerp, Lille and Amsterdam, joined KLM on an Amsterdam–Liverpool service via Doncaster, and in early 1936 reached on to Scandinavia. It became a public company in October 1935, flew de Havilland Dragons, DH.86s and Dragon Rapides, and on 1 August 1936 was merged into British Airways Ltd. This is a modern design in the vintage manner, and no original artist is recorded.
