A black twin-engine airliner silhouette crosses a bright orange disc, set behind a big white C&S monogram and ringed in black with the words Chicago and Southern Air Lines and Dixieliner Service. The airline began in 1933 as Pacific Seaboard Air Lines, won the Chicago to New Orleans air mail route in 1934 and made Memphis its hub. It merged into Delta Air Lines on 1 May 1953, giving Delta its first international routes.
