A Chilean huaso, the country's traditional horseman, rides across this poster waving his hat in greeting while an airliner passes overhead, all under the invitation "Vacation in Chile." The design comes from CINTA, the Compañía Nacional de Turismo Aéreo, a Chilean airline whose name itself promised air tourism. Pairing the proud figure of the huaso with a modern aircraft, the poster offered foreign travelers both Chile's ranch country traditions and a fast, comfortable way to reach them. The artist is not recorded.
