A surfer rides the face of a huge curling wave in this 1969 Continental Airlines poster for Hawaii, drawn in the sinuous lines and blazing flat colors of late-1960s psychedelic art. It arrived just as Continental was breaking into the islands: in May 1968 the airline formed its Air Micronesia subsidiary, whose island-hopping routes included Honolulu, and in September 1969 it began its own Los Angeles–Honolulu and Hilo flights. The following year, on 26 June 1970, Continental launched Boeing 747 service from Chicago and Denver to Los Angeles and Honolulu. The National Air and Space Museum holds a related Continental Hawaii surfer poster from around 1969. The artist is not recorded.
The Gildan 2000, made with 100% U.S. cotton and the latest breakthrough in soft cotton technology, the Gildan Ultra Cotton family has been remastered for improved printability, quality, and comfort you can see and feel.
