A dark spread-winged eagle rises over the CONTINENTAL name on this metallic gold oval, with AIRLINES set in the eagle's tail below. Continental began as Varney Speed Lines in 1934, took the Continental name in 1937 and grew from its Denver base into a major carrier, later moving its headquarters to Los Angeles in 1963 and to Houston in 1983. It merged with United in 2010, with integration completed in 2012. Stickers like this were given to travelers to put on their bags.
