A slim white strip carries the airline's name in serif capitals beneath a gold band and a stylised blue mouflon, the wild sheep found only on Cyprus. The galloping mouflon emblem was drawn in 1962 by David Collins at the request of British European Airways, one of the airline's founding partners, and first appeared on de Havilland Comet 4B tails. Cyprus Airways, founded in 1947, made Larnaca its operating base in later years and flew until January 2015.
