Here the Cyprus Airways mouflon leaps in bronze beside the airline's name, with the slogan The personal touch reversed out of a navy band along the bottom. The mouflon, a wild sheep native to Cyprus, became the airline's symbol in 1962, designed by David Collins for British European Airways, which had helped found the carrier in 1947. Passengers were given stickers like this to mark their luggage. Cyprus Airways flew from its Larnaca base until it ceased operations on 9 January 2015.
