Passengers once received labels like this to paste on their suitcases. Delta began as a crop-dusting operation, Huff Daland Dusters, in 1925, started passenger flights in June 1929 between Dallas and Jackson, Mississippi, and in 1953 merged with Chicago and Southern Air Lines, operating as Delta-C&S for two years.
