Eastern Air Lines reached back to the American Revolution for this Boston poster. The equestrian statue of Paul Revere stands in the foreground with the steeple of the Old North Church behind it, the church where two lanterns were hung in April 1775 to signal that British troops were moving by sea. Together they form the heart of Boston's Freedom Trail in the North End. The date and artist are not recorded on our copy. Boston was a key city on Eastern's East Coast network, and the poster frames it as a place where history is close at hand.
