A yellow map of Africa traced with red route lines fills this sticker, headed 'Fly Ethiopian Airlines To And Across Africa' in green and signed off 'The Wings of Modern Africa' on a red band, with a small lion in the corner. Ethiopian was founded on 21 December 1945 and began scheduled service on 8 April 1946 from Addis Ababa to Asmara and Cairo with Douglas C-47s, under management by TWA. It changed its name from Ethiopian Air Lines to Ethiopian Airlines in 1965.
