David Klein's Times Square poster for TWA, reproduced across the back of this shirt, is a defining image of the Jet Age. Klein rendered Manhattan not as a skyline but as pure light — marquees, neon, and headlights collapsed into a kinetic modernist collage, with a TWA jet crossing overhead. The bold "Fly TWA / New York" across the top is the stripped-down lettering that made Klein's work the template for midcentury travel advertising. The poster is part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. On the left chest is the twin-globe emblem TWA was flying under at the time: Raymond Loewy's design, which set the airline's windswept red wordmark inside two abstracted gold globes. The poster and logo are from the same moment.
