Bold and fast-looking, like its founder, this red strip sticker shows the italic white Lauda-air logo beside a gold winged figure and the motto "Service is our success." Racing driver Niki Lauda founded the airline in April 1979 and built it from a two-aircraft Fokker F27 charter operator into a long-haul carrier based at Vienna. Passengers picked up stickers like this to decorate their luggage. Lauda Air became a wholly owned subsidiary of Austrian Airlines in December 2000, and the brand was retired in 2013.
