A cartoon airliner with a bird's eye and beak, a puff of cloud behind it and fly scrawled in red on its tail, carries LOT and Polish Airlines in navy along with a small crane emblem near the cockpit. It is one of the more light-hearted designs from the Polish flag carrier. LOT was founded in 1929, and its crane emblem was designed at the turn of 1929 and 1930 by poster artist Tadeusz Gronowski for a competition held by the new airline.
