A grinning cartoon Boeing 737 with big round engines beams out from this blue roundel, framed by "Boeing 737" above and the Luxair name below. Luxembourg's national airline began flying as Luxair on 31 March 1962 with a Luxembourg to Paris service, and the Boeing 737-200 joined its fleet in 1977. The circular emblem beside the name is the logo Luxair used for some four decades before switching to its boomerang mark in 2003. Passengers were given stickers like this to decorate their luggage.
