A smiling young dancer in tartan Highland dress steps lively in the foreground of Glasgow by Clipper, a Pan American World Airways poster from around 1950 to 1951, while a kilted piper plays beside her. Behind them rise a castle, trees, hills and lochs, with a Pan Am airliner flying across the clouded sky. The poster was lithographed in the United States for American travelers, packing nearly every Scottish emblem into a single cheerful scene. The artist is not recorded.
