Three jets climb into a black sky trailing ribbons of blue, white and red, the colors of France, on this small poster stamp for the XXVe Salon International de l'Aeronautique et de l'Espace, the 25th Paris Air Show, held at Le Bourget in 1963. A rocket rises alongside them, a nod to the "Espace" in the show's name. The Salon, held in odd-numbered years at Le Bourget airport northeast of Paris, is one of the great showcases of the aviation world, and stamps like this were made to promote it.
