This artwork comes from the cover of Sabena's "Horaires & Tarifs" (timetables and fares) for summer 1950. Under the line "Vous etes en bonnes mains" (you are in good hands), a smiling air hostess in a navy uniform holds a little child against the backdrop of an airliner. After the Second World War, Sabena expanded with DC-4, DC-6 and DC-7 aircraft and made general use of air hostesses on board. The Belgian airline had begun operations in 1923 and flew until 2001.
