Streamlined white wings sweep across this navy and red banner, ending in a red disc with the Slick name in script, above the words "Flown Via Slick Airways, Inc." Slick was an American all-cargo airline founded by Earl F. Slick, a 26-year-old oil heir and former Air Transport Command pilot, and began operations on 4 March 1946 with a fleet of Curtiss C-46s. It became the civil launch customer for the Douglas DC-6A in 1950 and ceased operations in 1966. Labels like this marked shipments carried by the airline.
