A bright red-orange oval sticker for Trans Caribbean Airways, with a stylized blue eagle sweeping past a globe marked TCA, and a border promising a gateway to all the Caribbean islands and South America. The airline was organized on 18 May 1945 by businessman O. Roy Chalk, who controlled it throughout its life, and its core route linked New York with San Juan, Puerto Rico. American Airlines took it over in March 1971, folding its Caribbean network into American's own.
