Bright red and full of movement, this anniversary sticker shows a large hand-drawn 50 with a leaping gazelle-like figure inside the zero, splashes of yellow, blue and black, and the dates 1948-1998 across the top. Below sit the airline's name in Arabic script and Tunisair in white. The sticker marks half a century of Tunisia's national airline, which the government formed in late 1948 as Societe Tunisienne de l'Air and which began flying on 1 April 1949. Its home is Tunis-Carthage International Airport. Stickers like this were handed to travelers for their luggage.
