A playful, rounded cartoon of a Western Airlines McDonnell Douglas DC-10 fills this signed card, complete with the red "W" on its fuselage and the Western name on its tall center engine. The real trijets joined the fleet in 1973, when Western added nine DC-10-10s and marketed them as "DC-10 Spaceships." The airline traced its roots to Western Air Express, whose first flight was in 1926, and it served hubs at Los Angeles and Salt Lake City until its 1987 merger into Delta.
