This peel-off Western Airlines tag gave travelers blanks to fill in their name, address, where they were flying from and to, and who was meeting them, under a cartoon bird holding a balloon that reads "the O-N-L-Y way to fly." The line echoes Western's famous 1956 slogan, "It's the oooooonly way to fly!", spoken in ads by Wally Bird, an animated bird riding on the fuselage of a Western airliner. Western, which began as Western Air Express in 1926, merged into Delta in 1987.
