Aero Lloyd was a German leisure airline founded in September 1979 and based in the Frankfurt area, flying holidaymakers to sunny destinations around the Mediterranean. Its fleet moved from MD-80 series jets to the Airbus A320 and A321 in the 1990s, and the airline ceased operations in October 2003. A crisp snapshot of German holiday flying.
