A red-framed sticker with a German holiday slogan beginning 'Urlaub ohne Air Berlin', a holiday without Air Berlin, above a photo of a swimmer throwing up his arms in a burst of spray, and the Air Berlin logo with the line 'We fly Europe' at the foot. Air Berlin was founded in 1978 and began revenue flights in April 1979 with a charter from Berlin Tegel to Palma de Mallorca. It grew into Germany's second-largest airline at its peak, before ceasing operations in October 2017.
