A traveler's flight bag becomes a little portrait of a whole country in this sunny yellow Air Canada poster: a carved totem pole and a red-coated Mountie decorate the bag, and the copy promises Canada "in a few hours" with Air Canada. The design comes from the 1960s, when the national airline, founded in 1937 as Trans-Canada Air Lines, was moving into the jet age and adopted the Air Canada name for all its services in 1965. The artist of this playful design is not recorded.
