Jean Doré designed this 1951 Air France poster for Canada, lithographed on stone by Baille in Paris. A green pine forest frames a lake, with a snow-capped mountain rising beyond, the vast Canadian landscape that the airline's Constellations crossed on its transatlantic service. Air France also reached the rest of the continent through partner airlines; its map poster of the same year, "Air France vous ouvre toute l'Amérique du Nord," lists Trans-Canada Air Lines among its associated companies, alongside a dozen American and Latin American carriers.
