Vincent Guerra drew this 1951 Air France poster for England, printed by Alépée & Cie in Paris. On a pale gray ground, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben rise above the Thames, a boat moves along the river, and an Air France Douglas DC-4 flies over Westminster. The four-engine DC-4 was one of the airliners of Air France's postwar fleet. Guerra designed the airline's "Paris - New York" poster the same year, and the two share his crisp mid-century line and bright, uncluttered color, selling London as an easy flight from Paris.
