Signed by the artist Plaquet and printed by Perceval in Paris around 1950–51, this poster announced that Air France "opens all of North America" through its associated companies. On a navy field the continent appears in greens and golds, crowded with forests, rivers, dams and city skylines, with the Statue of Liberty marking New York and Constellations crossing the sky. Listed beneath are the partner carriers, among them Eastern, United, Northwest, Delta, National, American, Braniff, Capital and Trans-Canada Air Lines, a snapshot of the North American airline map of the day.
