This 1952 poster announced Air France's new service to Japan. A Japanese woman in a kimono stands among iris flowers on a red ground, with a Lockheed Constellation in the background. One dealer credits the design to the Japanese painter Yasse Tabuchi, who settled in France in 1951; it was printed by Perceval in Paris. Air France opened regular Paris–Tokyo flights on 24 November 1952 with the Constellation. The journey made stops at Beirut, Karachi and Saigon and took about 51 hours, an epic trip that the poster presents as pure elegance.
The Gildan 2000, made with 100% U.S. cotton and the latest breakthrough in soft cotton technology, the Gildan Ultra Cotton family has been remastered for improved printability, quality, and comfort you can see and feel.
