"Vers des ciels nouveaux" means "Towards new skies," and this early-1950s Air France poster shows exactly that: a Lockheed Constellation sailing above a sea of clouds, with the map of France laid out below. This is the darker of two color versions of the design, and its artist is not recorded. The Constellation, with its triple tail and long curving fuselage, was Air France's flagship of the period, the aircraft that carried it across the Atlantic and, from November 1952, all the way to Tokyo.
