Air France made the same claim in its French-language world map poster of 1956, which promised the most modern aircraft "on the longest network in the world," illustrated with Lockheed Super Constellations and Vickers Viscount turboprops. By then Air France routes reached from Paris across Europe, Africa, the Americas and on to Tokyo.
