Air Lithuania was established as a state-owned company on 13 September 1991, with its headquarters in Kaunas and bases at Kaunas and Palanga airports. It first flew Tupolev Tu-134 and Yakovlev Yak-40 jets before leasing ATR 42 turboprops, and it ceased operations in November 2005, which makes souvenirs like this one a small record of a short-lived carrier.
