This round red sticker arches the Air Maroc name over a pair of golden wings, with a dark crescent and star set at the centre of the emblem. Air Maroc, the Compagnie Chérifienne de Transports Aériens, was founded in 1947 and began scheduled services in 1949. In July 1953 it merged with Air Atlas to form a single Moroccan carrier, which took the name Royal Air Maroc on 28 June 1957. Passengers were given stickers like this to dress their suitcases, and the bold roundel still looks smart on a travel bag or a shirt.
