With a nod to Dickens, this Air Namibia sticker promotes a 'Tail of Two Cities', pairing the airline's sun-emblem tail fin with the route name Frankfurt - Windhoek and the slogan 'The Airline of the Wide Open Spaces'. Air Namibia took its name in October 1991, and that year it began flying between Windhoek and Frankfurt twice a week with a Boeing 747SP. The 747SP was later replaced by a Boeing 747-400 Combi acquired in 1999. Airlines gave out stickers like this one for passengers to put on their luggage, carrying the route to both ends of the line.
