This is a working freight label rather than a souvenir: an Air New Zealand Cargo air waybill sticker, with a blue header and ruled boxes for the air waybill number, destination, total number of pieces, weight of the piece, airport of origin and transfer points. Labels like this were stuck to boxes and crates so handlers could match each piece to its paperwork. Air New Zealand took its name on 1 April 1965, when Tasman Empire Airways Limited (TEAL), founded in 1939 by the New Zealand, British and Australian governments, was renamed.
