Not every airline sticker was meant for a suitcase. This blue-and-silver Air New Zealand sticker reads 'Please do not disturb' and explains that passengers who did not wish to be disturbed during the flight could attach it to their seat headrest cover, with the same request repeated underneath in German, French and Japanese for an international cabin. Air New Zealand took its name on 1 April 1965, succeeding Tasman Empire Airways Limited (TEAL), whose flying boats had begun Auckland-Sydney services in April 1940.
